Within an industry with significant supply and demand turbulence, our analysts and engineers employ advanced inventory forecasting to ensure that we can buy when you want to sell and sell when you need to buy, whatever the quantities. Environmental Standards
One of the many ways that Mervis is leading the way in environmental management standards is through certification of our sites to Industria Limpia, or "Clean Industry." This certification is the highest standard awarded by the Mexican government, and Mervis is the first recycler in the region to achieve the prestigious Industria Limpia award. Our hard work to earn this certification for our Mexican operations has meant significant financial savings to our Mexican customers as well as confirmation that we are successfully meeting top environmental standards.
Safety and Operational Standards
Mervis takes great pride in knowing that all of our locations are attaining the highest standards of quality. Our larger processing and feeder yards are currently ISO 9001 certified and certification for the remaining feeder yards is forthcoming. These are some of the requirements we focus on:
- Procedures covering all key processes in the business, including monitoring to ensure they are effective
- Appropriate and adequate record-keeping
- Checks of output for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary
- Regular reviews of individual processes and of the quality system itself for effectiveness
- Continual improvements
