Health Benefits
The current Third Party Administrator for health insurance is HCH Administration, a subsidary of Health Alliance, which is well recognized in the central Illinois area. It includes a PPO program that pays 90% after the $500 deductible is met. A prescription drug card with a 10/25/40 co-pay is also included. The premium cost is shared by the employee as follows:
The health insurance plan takes effect on the first day of the month following 120 days of service
A short-term disability program is also part of the health insurance package for the employee only.

Life Insurance
A life insurance benefit for the employee is part of the health insurance package and will take effect at the same time. Coverage will be $30,000 Life + $30,000 for Accidental Death and Dismemberment.

Pension
Employees are enrolled in the Mervis Industries profit sharing and 401K Plan on the first opening date (July 1st or January 1st) following the completion of 120 days of service. The profit sharing plan guarantees a deposit each year equal to 3% of an employee's annual wages.

Employee Assistance Program
Eight free counseling sessions are available to the employee and dependents for each problem they might have in all areas, from personal, financial, or family to difficulties with other employees and supervisors.

Paid holidays
Christmas Day, Labor Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Friday following Thanksgiving, July 4th.

Vacations
One week of paid vacation is given to an employee at the end of the first year of employment. Vacation accrual increases by one day each year until reaching 4 weeks, which is the maximum allowable accrual.

Tuition Assistance Program
After working for the company for 6 months, employees are eligible for tuition assistance. If an employee wishes to take a class that will assist in his or her work or wishes to pursue an undergraduate degree, the company will provide reimbursement for tuition and books if a grade of C or better is received.
