Equipment Maintenance Tech – Danville IL (Metals & Composites)

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

This job requires the employee to perform tasks that maintain the building and equipment at our Metals & Composites facility. The Maintenance Tech performs the installation, maintenance, and repairs of all machinery and equipment within the facility.

DUTIES:

1. Diagnose and make routine repairs and service for buildings as directed by the Manager or Director at Metals & Composites.
2. Responds to work orders/calls to identify maintenance and repair needs
3. With limited direction from the Supervisor, determine the sequence of required tasks/jobs from the work orders/calls, and periodic/regular maintenance responsibilities
4. Answer call/order; assemble necessary tools and materials; and complete tasks with or without consultation
5. Service forklifts, conveyor belts, welding, hydraulic hoses, etc…
6. Maintain materials and supplies in appropriate order, return unused materials and supplies and store appropriately, document all pre-approved purchases for billing purposes
7. Other Duties as assigned by Manager or Director at Metals & Composites.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Driver’s License
2. Ability to work safely and efficiently alone
3. The ability to use hand tools and trade type tools
4. The strength to lift and move 50-75 pounds manually

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

1. Two (2) years’ experience in general building maintenance, & equipment maintenance.
