Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Decatur and Danville
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This job requires the employee to make major repairs on mobile Heavy Equipment. It is imperative that this employee has or willing to receive formal training with the proper certification or equivalent experience to be proficient at mechanical repairs. The mechanic must have the strength and agility to lift 40+ pounds and climb on to the vehicles for the purpose of diagnosis and repair. DUTIES: • Complete equipment inspections, report repairs and assist in scheduling repairs. • Operate service truck safely and efficiently. • Assist in maintaining inventory or service kits, lubes, oils, and other supplies. • Identify, diagnose, and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs. • Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components on large equipment, such as cranes and other equipment used to process scrap metal. • Maintain a clean and safe work area. • Perform electrical 12v/24v, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance. • Troubleshoot issues with diesel and gas engines. • Troubleshoot issues with Aftertreatment systems. • Ability to use Maintenance software for fault code diagnosing. • Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs. • Complete shop paperwork in a timely manner. • Maintain a clean and safe work area. • Performing service, maintenance, repair, and overhaul in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations. • Ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. • Performing equipment repairs in response to maintenance requests, in shop or in field locations • Repairing heavy equipment, removing/replacing components. • Using diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify and correct equipment faults including but not limited to the ability to read a schematic. • Performing scheduled maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, forklifts, service trucks. • Diagnosing mechanical problems and making repairs as necessary without supervision. • Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed • Operating heavy equipment to test repaired machinery. • Be work ready with a positive attitude.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The employee in this position will weigh and inspect all incoming vehicles. In addition, the job will require the dispatching of trucks for local pick-ups as well as local and long distance deliveries. This employee reports directly to the Manager. JOB DUTIES:- Inspect & weigh all incoming traffic
- All off-specification material will be handled according to the material receiving and shipping policies
- Inspect all outgoing scrap

- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, record-keeping, and typing are completed in an accurate and professional manner

- Opening and closing of the scale
- The scale system must be brought online and closed successfully and on-time each day
- Scale activity is conducted in a courteous, professional and expeditious manner with minimal disruption to the flow of traffic through the facility

MIG Welder - Illini Castings
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This job requires the employee to work with our team in the yard as well as shipping and receiving. The employee will be inspecting incoming parts to determine if they are qualified for repair according to AAR inspections. This employee will also be required to train in different areas of the shop so that they may be moved when needed. DUTIES:- Inspection of incoming parts to verify repair quality.
- Assisting the yard with incoming parts for reconditioning
- Cross training throughout the shop to be used where needed for production.
- Housekeeping and any other duty specified by manager.

- Must be able to hear well enough to distinguish warning sounds or verbal instructions above loud noises.
- The team member is frequently required to lift and carry, or to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
